What is fence?

A fence is like a wall that helps keep things inside or outside, just like how your toys stay in your room and not in the hallway.

Imagine you're playing with your favorite blocks, and you want to make a special place for them. You take some long sticks (like rulers) and put them upright between two posts (like the legs of a chair). Now your blocks are inside this fence, and they don’t roll away, it's like their own little house!

A fence is made up of parts:

• Posts: These are like the strong legs that hold everything up.
• Rails: These are the long sticks or bars that connect the posts together.

You can walk through a fence, just like you walk through your door to go from the bedroom to the kitchen. Some fences are high and tall, so big dogs can't jump over, kind of like how you need a ladder to reach the top shelf!
