What is fantasy?

Fantasy is when we imagine whole new worlds that feel real and exciting, just like a storybook come to life.

Imagine you're playing with your favorite toys, and suddenly they start talking to you, not in a spooky way, but in a fun, friendly way. That’s kind of what fantasy feels like: it's a place where everyday things can become extra special or change into something completely new.

Like a Playground for the Mind

In fantasy, people might ride horses that fly, live in castles on top of clouds, or go on adventures with friends who are also wizards, but not because they're magical. They’re just really good at doing amazing things, like solving puzzles or turning invisible!

A World That Feels Real

Sometimes, fantasy is like a dream you have when you fall asleep after reading your favorite book. You wake up thinking you were actually there, and maybe you even remember the sounds of a dragon's roar or the smell of a magic potion, but really, it was just your imagination working overtime.

Fantasy helps us believe in possibilities that aren't quite real yet, and that’s pretty amazing!
