What is faked?

"What is faked?" means something that isn’t real but looks like it could be.

Imagine you have a toy box full of your favorite toys, cars, blocks, and stuffed animals. Now, suppose someone takes a picture of just one toy, like a red car, and then shows it to you as if it’s the whole toy box. That’s faking, they’re making it look like there are more toys than there really are.

When something is faked, it might seem real at first glance, but closer inspection shows it's not quite what it seems.

Think of it like this: You get a lollipop, and your friend gets the same kind. But then your friend says their lollipop tastes like chocolate, even though yours doesn’t. That’s faking too! They’re pretending their lollipop is different just to make things more fun.
