What is expulsion?

Expulsion is when someone is sent away from a place because they broke the rules.

Imagine you're playing at your favorite park. There's a rule that says you can't run through the flower beds. But you really want to race your friend, so you jump into the flowers like they’re a track. The parkkeeper sees this and says, “You need to leave for now because you didn’t follow the rules.” That’s expulsion, being sent away from a place for breaking its rules.

Like Being Kicked Out of a Game

Think about your favorite game. If you cheat by peeking at the cards everyone else is hiding, the person in charge might say, “You’re out of the game for now.” That’s like expulsion, you get sent away from the fun because you didn’t play fair.

Sometimes, people are expelled from school if they keep breaking rules. It's like being kicked out of a big game that everyone is playing together.
