Evaporation is when liquid turns into gas because it gets warm.
Imagine you're sitting by a pond on a sunny day. The water feels cool in your toes, but after a while, the surface starts to shimmer, like tiny bubbles are rising and disappearing into the air. That’s evaporation happening right before your eyes!
How It Works
When heat (like from the sun) touches the water, some of the molecules get faster and jump out of the liquid. They become gas, you can’t see them, but they’re there, floating around like invisible dancers.
A Real-Life Example
Think about a puddle after it rains. At first, it’s all wet and shiny, but as time goes on, especially in the sun, the puddle gets smaller and smaller until it disappears. That's because the water is turning into vapor, just like when you leave your drink out and it slowly becomes empty.
So, evaporation is like a quiet dance between liquid and gas, made possible by warmth, no magic needed!
