What is ethics?

Ethics is like having a rulebook for being kind and fair in your everyday adventures.

Imagine you're playing with your best friend, and there's only one cookie left. If you take it without asking, that’s not very ethical, it feels unfair to your friend. But if you ask them if they want it first, that shows you’re using good ethics, like a helpful pirate sharing the treasure.

Sometimes, being ethical means doing what's right even when no one is watching. Like when you accidentally break your little brother’s toy and don’t tell anyone, that feels sneaky. But if you say sorry and fix it, that shows honesty, which is part of good ethics.

Everyone needs ethics to get along, just like how a game needs rules so everyone has fun. When people follow ethics, they help make the world a friendlier place, like when you share your cookie, and your friend shares their toy with you later!
