Escaped means something that was kept inside is now free to move around.
Imagine you're playing with a toy car inside a box. The box is like a cage, it keeps the car from going anywhere. But if someone opens the box, the car can run out and zoom across the floor. That's what escaped means, the car was inside, but now it’s free to go wherever it wants.
How It Works
- When something is trapped, it can't move freely.
- If it becomes escaped, it's no longer trapped, it can move around like it wants.
Think about a pet bird in a cage. The bird is trapped inside the cage. But if the door opens, the bird flies out and is now free to fly around the room. That’s escaped!
So next time you see something that was once contained but is now moving freely, like a toy car or a bird, you can say it's escaped!
Examples
- A prisoner breaks out of jail and runs into the night.
- A dog escapes from its yard through a hole in the fence.
- A bird flies away after being released from its cage.
