What is ends?

Ends are the things we want to get from doing something.

Imagine you're playing a game where you have to climb a ladder to reach your favorite toy at the top. The end of climbing is getting that toy, it's what makes the whole climb worth it! So, when we talk about ends, we’re talking about the good stuff we hope to get after doing something.

Why We Care About Ends

When you're working on a puzzle, your end might be finishing it and seeing the full picture. When you eat your veggies, your end is getting dessert, that sweet, tasty reward!

Sometimes, people do things because they want to reach a certain end, just like how you might clean up your room before bedtime so you can stay up later.

Ends Can Change

You might think the end of running around outside is just being tired. But if you're playing tag with friends, the real end is winning the game, and maybe even getting to be "it" next time!

So, ends are like goals in a fun game, they help us know why we’re doing what we're doing!
