An empty box (0) is like having a toy box that doesn’t have any toys inside, it’s completely empty.
Imagine you have a favorite box where you keep your toys. When the box has toys, we can say it has something in it, like 3 or 5 or even 10. But if there are no toys at all, not one, that means the box is empty. That's what we call zero (0).
What Does Zero Mean?
Zero in Action
When we write 5 - 5 = 0, it means you took all your candies and gave them away, you're left with an empty box, or zero candies.
Zero isn’t just “nothing”, it’s a special number that helps us count how many things are missing!
