What Earth Is Made Of
Imagine you have a big ball, that's Earth! It has rocky parts, like the ground under your feet, and water parts, like oceans and lakes. Some places are covered with green parts, like forests and grass, where plants live. People and animals also live on Earth.
How Earth Moves
Earth is always moving. It spins around like a top, that's why we have day and night. And it goes around the Sun, just like how you go around your favorite playground. This orbit takes about 365 days, that's why we have years!
Sometimes Earth wobbles a little bit, like when you ride a bike and lean to stay balanced. That’s what causes seasons, spring, summer, fall, and winter.
Earth is our home in space, and it’s always busy moving and changing!
