Diversity is when you have many different kinds of people or things in one place.
Imagine a big bowl of fruit. If it only had apples, that’s not very diverse. But if it has apples, bananas, oranges, grapes, even some strawberries, then it's full of different kinds of fruit. That’s what diversity is like: having many different kinds of people or things together.
Like a Playground
Think about a playground. Some kids love to swing, others like to slide, and some prefer to run around. If everyone liked the same game, it might get boring. But when there are many different kinds of kids, some who like to swing, some who like to climb, some who just want to chat, that makes the playground more fun for everyone.
Diversity is like having a big, happy playground where everyone can be themselves and enjoy playing together.
