Distributed means something is spread out across different places or people, working together like a team.
Imagine you and your friends are building a giant sandcastle at the beach. Instead of all of you working in one spot, each of you takes a part, one person gathers seashells, another stacks sand into towers, someone else digs a moat. Even though you’re all doing different jobs in different spots, you're still helping build one big castle together.
Like Sharing Toys
Think about sharing toys with your classmates at school. If you have 10 toys and 5 friends, instead of giving everyone the same toy, you can spread them out, some people get action figures, others get blocks or cars. That’s distributed sharing!
Like a Pizza Party
Now imagine you're having a pizza party with your family. Instead of one big pizza for all of you to share, you have several small pizzas, and each person gets a slice from their own little pizza. You’re still all eating pizza, just spread out across different plates.
That’s what distributed means, things are shared or spread out, but they're still working together as one!

- A pizza delivery system where each store handles its own orders
- A school with multiple teachers working independently but teaching the same subject
