What is dishonesty?

Dishonesty is when someone says or does something that isn’t true to trick you or make things harder for others.

Imagine you're playing a game with your friend, and you both agree on the rules: “First one to 10 points wins.” But then, instead of counting your own points correctly, you hide some points so it looks like you’re winning faster. That’s dishonesty, you're not being fair or telling the truth.

Like a Broken Popsicle

Think of honesty as a popsicle that stays cool and sweet. Dishonesty is like when you take a bite without asking, then say the popsicle still tastes good even though it's melting. You’re hiding what really happened so people think everything’s fine, but inside, things aren’t as good as they seem.

When Words Don't Match Actions

Sometimes, people talk about being kind or fair, but their actions show they're not. It's like when your friend says they'll share their toys with you, but then keeps all the best ones for themselves. That’s dishonesty, their words don’t match what they actually do.

Being honest helps people trust each other and have fun together!
