Like Being the Boss of a Playground
Imagine you're playing with your friends on the playground. Usually, everyone gets to decide what game they want to play. But if there's a dictator, they say, "We’re playing tag today, and you are it!", even if no one wanted to be it.
A dictator is like that super boss who doesn’t listen to anyone else’s ideas. They make all the decisions by themselves, and everyone has to do what they say.
When a Leader Takes Over
Sometimes, when people don't get along or are confused about what's fair, a dictator might come in and take control. It's like if your teacher said, "I'm in charge now, you all follow my rules!" And then everything changes so everyone has to do exactly what the dictator says.
So, a dictator is just someone who makes all the rules and doesn't let anyone else help decide.
Examples
- A dictator might be someone who takes over a country and keeps it for many years without letting people vote.
