What is deliberation?

Deliberation is when you think carefully before making a choice.

Imagine you're picking your favorite toy to play with, not just grabbing the first one you see, but thinking about which one will make you laugh the most or have the best colors. That’s deliberation in action!

Like Choosing Ice Cream

Let's say you’re at an ice cream shop with three flavors: chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry. You don’t just pick the first one, you think about what you like best, how sweet it should be, or even what your friend picked. That’s deliberation, taking time to decide.

Like Picking a Playground Game

Now imagine you’re at the playground and there are two games: tag and hide-and-seek. You might think about which game is more fun, who wants to play with you, or if it's going to rain soon. That’s deliberation again, using your brain to help you choose what feels best.

So whether you're picking ice cream or a playground game, deliberation helps you make the best choice!
