Cups are containers that hold drinks and food, just like a toy box holds your favorite toys.
Imagine you have a juice box, it’s small and easy to carry. Now think of a cup: it's like a bigger, open version of the juice box. You can pour your drink into it, or even put ice cubes in it to make your drink colder. Cups come in all shapes and sizes, some are tall and skinny like a drinking straw, others are short and wide like a bowl.
How cups work
When you fill a cup with something, like water or juice, the liquid stays inside because the sides of the cup hold it up. If you tilt the cup just right, you can drink from the top without spilling, kind of like how you pour cereal into your bowl in the morning.
Cups are also great for sharing. If you and a friend both want to drink juice, you can each have a cup and take turns sipping, no need for magic, just two cups and a little teamwork!
