What is composition?

Composition is when you make something new by putting together smaller pieces that already exist.

Imagine you have a box full of different toys, cars, blocks, and balls. If you take some of those toys and put them together to make a playground, that’s composition! You didn’t create the toys from nothing; you just used what was already there in clever ways.

Like Building with Blocks

Think about building a tower with blocks. Each block is simple on its own, but when you stack them together, they become something bigger, like a castle or a spaceship! That’s composition in action: using basic parts to create something more complex and fun.

Or Making a Sandwich

Another example is making a sandwich. You have bread, cheese, ham, and lettuce. Each of those items is simple, but when you put them together in the right order, you get a delicious sandwich, that’s composition too!

So whether it's toys, blocks, or food, composition is all about putting things together to make something new and exciting!
