What is compatibilism?

Compatibilism is the idea that free will and destiny can get along together, like best friends.

Imagine you're playing with your favorite toy car. You push it, and it zooms across the floor. Now, maybe someone else pushes it too, but it still goes where you wanted it to go. That's compatibilism in action: even if something bigger is pushing you (like a destiny), you can still choose what direction to go.

How It Works

Think of your toy car like your choices. Even if someone or something else is helping you move, like a friendly destiny, you're still the one deciding where to steer it. You’re not being forced, you're just going along with what's happening around you.

So compatibilism says: You can have free will even if everything in life has its own plan. It’s like having your favorite snack and a fun game at the same time, both are great, and they work together!
