What is comparison?

Comparison is when you look at two things and see how they are similar or different.

Imagine you have two apples. One is big, and one is small. When you compare them, you might say, "This apple is bigger than the other one." That’s comparison, it helps you understand which one is bigger by looking at both together.

Like Picking Your Favorite Toy

Suppose you’re choosing between two toys: a red car and a blue dinosaur. You might compare them by size, color, or how much fun they are to play with. If the red car is faster than the blue dinosaur, that’s a comparison of speed.

Comparison Helps You Decide

When you compare things, it helps you make choices, like picking the bigger apple, the faster toy, or even the better snack at lunchtime! You’re using comparison every day without even realizing it. It's just a way to see which thing is best for what you need.
