Colonization is when one group moves to another place and starts living there, taking over or influencing how that place is used.
Imagine your favorite park, it's full of kids playing, and the swings are always busy. Now imagine a bunch of new kids come in and say, "We want to live here too!" They might take over some of the best spots, like the slide or the sandbox, and start making rules about how everyone plays. That’s kind of like what happens during colonization, one group comes into another place and changes things so they can live there comfortably.
Like Moving Into a Shared House
Think of it like moving into a shared house with your friends. You all have your own rooms, but then new people move in and take over some of the best spots, like the kitchen or the living room. They might even decide how things are done, like who does the dishes or what time everyone has to be up.
Sometimes the original group is happy to share, and sometimes they’re not. It all depends on how the new people act and whether they respect the old rules, just like in a park or a shared house!
