Cold water is water that feels chilly when you touch it, just like ice cream on a hot day.
Imagine you're playing in the kitchen, and you have two cups: one has cold water and the other has warm water. If you put your finger in the cold water cup, it's like dipping your finger into a snowball, snappy and refreshing. But if you dip your finger in the warm water, it feels more like putting your finger in a hug from a cozy blanket.
Why is it Cold?
Cold water happens when water loses some of its heat. Think about taking a glass of water out of the fridge, that's where the cold comes from! The fridge is like a sleepy friend who takes all the warmth away from the water, leaving it cool and ready for you to enjoy.
If you leave that water on the table for a while, it will slowly start to warm up again. Just like how you get warmer when you sit in the sun after being outside in the cold!
