What is cohesion?

Cohesion is when things stick together and work as one group.

Imagine you're playing with building blocks. If all your blocks are loose and fall apart easily, it's hard to build a strong tower. But if the blocks stick together well, like they’re glued or fit perfectly, your tower stands tall and doesn’t fall over. That’s what cohesion is: how well things stick together so they can hold up as a team.

Like Friends Holding Hands

Think of cohesion like friends holding hands in a line during a game. If everyone holds hands tightly, the whole group moves smoothly and stays together. But if some kids let go or don’t grip well, the line might break apart when someone trips. That’s how cohesion works, it helps groups stay strong and united.

Cohesion in Real Life

In real life, water has cohesion too! When you fill a glass with water, the molecules stick together so the water stays inside the glass instead of spilling out everywhere. It's like a tiny team of water friends holding hands tightly, that’s cohesion in action!
