What is circulation?

Circulation is how your body moves blood around like a tiny superhero on a mission.

Imagine you're playing with toy cars on a track. The cars zoom from one end to the other, and then they go back again, that's kind of like what happens in your body. Your heart is like the engine that makes the cars (which are your blood) move. It beats, sending blood all over your body.

How Blood Travels

Your blood vessels, which are like little roads for the blood to follow, help carry the blood from your heart to your toes, your head, and everywhere in between. When you run around at playtime, your blood needs to go faster, just like when you pedal harder on your bike.

Why It Matters

Your blood carries important stuff like oxygen and sugar that your body needs to keep going. If the roads (your blood vessels) were blocked or if the engine (your heart) stopped working, your body would feel tired, or even sick, just like a toy car would stop moving if it ran out of batteries.

So circulation is your body's way of keeping everything running smoothly, and you don't even have to be a superhero for it!
