What is choose-your-own-adventure?

A choose-your-own-adventure book is like a story that changes based on the choices you make.

Imagine you’re reading a story about a dragon. At the end of one page, it says, “Do you want to fight the dragon or run away?” If you pick fight, you turn to page 15. If you pick run away, you turn to page 27. Each choice leads to a new part of the story, and you get to decide what happens next!

Each page has a little story, and at the end, there are usually choices you can make. These choices lead you to different pages. It’s like playing a game with your book, every time you pick an option, you’re opening a new door in the story.

You get to be the hero! You decide if you want to be brave or sneaky, smart or silly. Sometimes you’ll end up in a totally unexpected place, like a castle, a cave, or even space! It’s like having a personal adventure that only you can control.
