Change is when something becomes different over time.
Imagine you have a toy car that’s red and goes vroom-vroom. One day, it turns blue and starts going beep-beep. That’s change, the toy car didn’t stay the same; it became new in some way.
What Makes Change Happen?
Sometimes, change happens because of something you do. Like when you push a swing, it goes higher and higher. The swing was low at first, but now it's high. That’s change caused by your movement.
Other times, change happens without you doing anything. Like when the sky turns from day to night, that’s change too! It didn’t happen because of something you did, but it still changed.
Change Can Be Big or Small
Change doesn’t have to be big. Maybe your socks are white today and gray tomorrow. That’s a little change. Or maybe your dog grows from small to big, that’s a bigger change. Both are still change!
Change is just something becoming different, and it happens all around you every day, like the sun rising, or your favorite snack running out.
