A CEO is like the captain of a big ship that’s going on a long journey.
Imagine you and your friends are building the biggest treehouse ever. You all have jobs, some are collecting sticks, others are hammering nails, and someone is deciding what color to paint it. The CEO would be the person who makes the biggest decisions, like where to put the ladder or when to stop working for ice cream.
Like a School Leader
If your school had a CEO, they’d be like the principal but even more important, they decide things like which subjects to add, how much recess you get, and maybe even what kind of pizza comes on field trip days!
The CEO’s Job
The CEO doesn’t do every task, that would take too long. Instead, they make sure everything runs smoothly by talking to other people who have important jobs, like the person in charge of cleaning (the janitor) or the one who hands out report cards (the teacher).
So the CEO is the person everyone looks up to when big decisions need to be made, just like you look up to your favorite teacher when they decide it’s time for a fun activity.
