What is camshaft?

A camshaft is like a special gear inside a car that helps it breathe and move smoothly.

Imagine you're playing with a toy car. To make it go faster, you need to let more air in, kind of like when you blow up a balloon harder so it zooms away. In a real car, the camshaft does something similar. It controls little doors called valves, which open and close to let air and fuel mix into the engine.
