What is burst?

Burst is when something happens really quickly, like a balloon popping or a big splash in a pool.

Imagine you have a water balloon. It’s full of water and it's sitting on your head. Then someone throws another balloon at it, smack!, the first one pops right away, and all that water goes flying out in one big burst! That’s what burst means: something happens all at once, fast and powerful.

Like a Popcorn Machine

Think of a popcorn machine. When you press the button, it starts heating up, and soon whoosh!, all the popcorn pops at the same time. That's a burst of popcorn! It’s not one kernel popping slowly; it’s many kernels popping fast, like a big, loud, fun surprise.

Or Like a Big Sneeze

A sneeze is also a kind of burst. You feel something tickle your nose, achoo!, and all that air and stuff comes out in one go. It's quick, it's strong, and it’s all at once!

So, burst means something happens fast and suddenly, like water flying out of a popped balloon or a big sneeze!
