What is burden?

Burden is when something heavy or difficult makes you feel tired or slows you down.

Imagine you're carrying a big bag full of toys on your back. The more toys you add, the harder it gets to walk. That's like burden, it’s anything that adds extra weight or effort to what you’re already doing.

What Burden Feels Like

If you're riding your bike and someone puts a heavy box in your backpack, you’ll pedal slower. You might even feel like you're going uphill, even if the road is flat! That heavy box is your burden, it’s making your ride harder than it should be.

Burden Can Be Good Too

Sometimes, burden helps you grow stronger. If you carry that bag of toys every day, eventually you’ll get used to it. You might even start running faster or climbing stairs easier! So a burden can be something tricky, but with time and practice, it becomes part of your strength.
