A brigade, battalion, company, and platoon are like groups inside a big toy army, each one has its own job, but they all work together.
Imagine you're playing with your favorite toy soldiers. A platoon is like a small group of 30 to 50 soldiers, just like a few of your friends who all play together during recess. A company is made up of a few platoons, that’s like the whole class, working as one team.
Then there's a battalion, which is like several companies together, imagine your school having more than one classroom playing together in the playground. And finally, a brigade is the biggest group, it could be made up of many battalions, just like all the kids from different schools coming together for a big game day.
Each group has its own job to do, but they all help each other out so they can win the battle (or the game). It's like when you and your friends team up, it’s more fun and you get more done!
