What is Breathe in air?

Breathe in air is when you take air into your body so it can help your body work and play.

How It Works

When you breathe in, you’re like a vacuum cleaner, but for your body. You use your nose or mouth to suck in the air around you, and that air goes down your throat and into your lungs.

What’s Inside the Air?

Air is like a special mix of invisible ingredients. The most important one is oxygen, it's what helps your body make energy so you can run, jump, laugh, and play all day long. Think of oxygen like the fuel in your toy car, without it, your car wouldn’t move.

When you take that air into your lungs, your body uses the oxygen from it to help your blood carry energy to every part of your body. That’s why after you breathe in, you feel ready to do more things!
