What is Brazil?

Brazil is like a giant, colorful puzzle piece that fits into the southern part of South America.

Imagine you have a big box of crayons, red, green, yellow, blue, and you use them all to draw one really big picture. That’s Brazil! It has lots of different places: some are hot and full of rainforests, like your cousin's messy room after a playdate; others are calm and quiet, like the peaceful corner where you read your favorite book.

Like a Big Family

Brazil is also like a huge family with many people, millions! They speak a language called Portuguese, which sounds a bit like the way you say "hello" but in a fancy way. Some of them dance a lot, especially during parties, and they have a special way of dancing called samba.

Full of Nature

Brazil has a big jungle inside it, the Amazon Rainforest, where animals live and trees are as tall as your house. It also has big beaches where people go to play in the sand and swim in the ocean, like when you go to the park on a sunny day.

So Brazil is one of the biggest countries in the world, like being the tallest kid in class!
