Bounce is when something jumps back after it hits another thing.
Imagine you're playing with a ball on the floor. You throw the ball down, and it bounces, it goes up again! That’s because the floor pushed it back up. The same way happens with a trampoline: when you jump on it, it squishes down and then bounces you back up.
Why it happens
When something hits another thing, like a ball hitting the ground, both things can be squishy or stiff. If they're squishy, like a trampoline, the bounce is bigger. If they're stiff, like concrete, the bounce is smaller, but still there.
Bounce in action
Think about your favorite toy that bounces: maybe a bouncy ball or a teddy bear that you throw up and catch again. Each time it hits something, it bounces back to you, just like when you jump on a trampoline and come back up!
