What is bottom-up?

Bottom-up is when you start small and build up to something bigger, just like stacking blocks one by one until you have a tall tower.

Imagine you're building with your favorite blocks, the kind you stack on the floor. If you want to make a big castle, you don’t jump right in with all the blocks at once. Instead, you start with one block, then add another on top of it, and keep going until your castle is as tall as you are! That’s bottom-up, starting from the ground (the bottom) and working your way up to the top.

Like building a tower

If you had a tower made of 10 blocks, you'd probably start with one block on the floor. Then add another, and another, each time you're doing a little bit more, but not all at once. This is how bottom-up works in real life too: you learn small pieces first, then put them together to make something bigger.

So next time you stack your blocks, remember, you’re using bottom-up thinking! 🧱✨
