What is Energy?
How Does the Body Get More Energy?
Your body gets more energy from food, just like a toy car gets more power from fresh batteries. When you eat snacks or meals, your body turns them into energy to keep going. If you're running around and playing games all day, you might need an extra snack, that’s how your body says “I need more juice!”
So next time you feel tired after a big adventure, remember: your body is just telling you it needs more energy, and food can help power you up again!
Examples
- A child runs around the playground all day and feels tired because their body used up a lot of energy.
- Your body needs more energy after you finish a long hike in the mountains.
- You eat a big meal to give your body the extra energy it needs for the next day's activities.
