What is bipedal?

Bipedal means something that walks on two legs.

Imagine you're playing with a toy robot, it has two legs and moves by walking. That's bipedal, just like you or me!

How Bipedal Works

You have two legs, and when you walk, those legs take turns moving you forward. You start with one leg pushing off the ground while the other swings forward, then switch! It’s like taking steps on a fun adventure.

Think about your favorite animal friend, like a dog. Dogs are quadrupedal, they use four legs to move around. But if you imagine a robot or even a person walking, that's bipedal, just two strong legs doing the job!

Bipedal in Action

When you run, jump, or dance, your two legs help you move in all sorts of ways. That’s why being bipedal is pretty special, it lets you do so many cool things with just two parts of your body!
