What is battery?

A battery is like a little energy storage box that powers things you use every day.

Imagine you have a toy car that moves when you press a button. Sometimes it stops, and you need to give it a boost so it can keep going. That’s what a battery does, it stores energy and gives it out when needed.

How It Works

Think of the battery as having two special friends inside: one is positive, and the other is negative. When you use something that needs power, like your toy car, these friends work together to send electricity through wires, making the toy move or a light turn on.

What It Looks Like

A battery might look like a small rectangle with two ends, one marked with a plus sign +, and the other with a minus sign -. You can find them in many places: your remote control, your watch, even your phone!

When the battery runs out of energy, it’s like your toy car needs to rest and recharge. Then you can put a new battery inside, and everything starts working again!
