Balanced means things are even on both sides, just like when you're playing on a seesaw.
What Balanced Means
When Things Are Balanced
Think about your backpack. If you put all your books on one side and nothing on the other, it feels heavy and pulls you forward. But if you spread them out evenly, it feels light and easy to carry, that's balanced too!
So, whenever two sides are equal or match up nicely, they're balanced, just like a seesaw with friends who are the same size! Balanced means things are even on both sides, just like when you're playing on a seesaw.
What Balanced Means
Imagine you and your friend are sitting on a seesaw at the park. If you’re both the same size, the seesaw stays flat in the middle, that’s balanced. But if one of you is bigger or heavier, that side goes down and the other goes up, it’s not balanced anymore.
Examples
- A seesaw with two kids of the same weight stays level.
- A tightrope walker keeps their body centered to stay balanced.
