Balance is when things stay even and don’t tip over or fall apart.
Imagine you're sitting on a seesaw at the park. If you are heavy and your friend is light, the seesaw will tilt toward you, that’s not balance. But if both of you weigh about the same, the seesaw stays level in the middle, that's balance!
Like a Scale
Think of a scale like the ones at the doctor’s office. When you step on it and it shows a number, that means it has found balance between your weight and the weights inside the scale.
If you add more weight to one side, like adding cookies to your plate, the scale tips, and balance is gone until things are even again.
Balance Everywhere
You use balance every day: when you walk, when you ride a bike, or even when you stack blocks. If the blocks are all wobbly or uneven, they might fall over, that’s no balance!
So, balance means everything stays even and steady, just like on a seesaw or a scale.
