What is autocratic?

Autocratic means one person has all the control and makes all the decisions.

Imagine you’re playing a game with your friend, and you get to choose every rule, when to start, what happens if someone loses, even how many times you can restart the game. You don’t ask your friend what they think; you just decide everything on your own. That’s like being autocratic in a game.

Like Being the Boss of Everything

In real life, an autocrat is like the boss who decides everything, when to go to school, what to eat for lunch, and even how many times you can play outside. No one else gets to say their opinion; the boss just goes with what they think is best.

Sometimes It’s Fun, Sometimes It’s Boring

If you're the autocrat in a game, it might feel super cool, like being the king or queen of the playground. But if someone else is the autocrat and they never let you have your way, it can get boring fast!
