Async/await is a way for your computer to do things one after another, but also work on other tasks while waiting.
Imagine you're making a sandwich. You start with the bread, then you go get the cheese from the fridge. But instead of just standing there waiting for the cheese, you can go do something else, like slice the tomato or grab the butter. When you come back to get the cheese, it’s already ready!
This is what async and await do. The async part tells your computer that a task can be done in the background while other things happen. The await part is like saying, “I’ll wait for this task to finish before moving on.”
Like a Friend Who Can Do Things While You’re Busy
Think of it like having a friend who can do chores while you're playing video games. You tell them, “Hey, go get the ice cream from the freezer,” and you keep playing. When they come back with the ice cream, you say, “Okay, let’s eat now!” That's await, waiting for your friend to finish their task.
So async/await makes things faster by letting your computer do more than one thing at a time!
