What is Artemis?

Artemis is like a big, exciting team that goes on adventures to explore the Moon and maybe even go further into space.

Imagine you're playing with your favorite toy car. You push it, and it zooms across the floor, that’s how Artemis works, but much bigger! Artemis is a program, like a special game plan, where astronauts travel to the Moon using powerful rockets. Think of them as the superheroes of space exploration.

The team uses a spaceship, kind of like a super-strong toy car, called the Orion spacecraft. It's attached to something even bigger and stronger, called the SLS rocket, which is like the biggest booster you've ever seen, it helps Orion zoom all the way to the Moon.

Every time they go up, it’s like a new adventure! They might build things on the Moon, learn more about space, or even get ready for bigger trips to other places in our solar system. It's not magic, it’s science and engineering coming together, just like how your toy car moves when you push it.
