Like Building a Tower
Imagine you have a bunch of small blocks, these are like the tiny parts your body uses. When you stack them one on top of another, you make a tall tower, this is like how your body makes big molecules from smaller ones. That’s anabolism in action!
Eating and Growing
When you eat food, your body breaks it down into small pieces. Then, during anabolism, those little pieces are put together to make bigger things, like muscles or bones. It's like when you take apart a toy car and then use all the parts to build a robot, your body is using what it has to create something new and stronger.
So, every time you grow taller or get stronger after playing, you're using anabolism!
Examples
- When you eat a sandwich, your body uses it to make more cells for energy storage.
- Your muscles getting stronger after lifting weights, as they rebuild with new proteins.
