What is ambush?

Ambush is when someone or something surprises you from behind.

Imagine you're playing hide and seek, and instead of just hiding, your friend sneaks up really quietly and jumps out in front of you, that’s an ambush! It's like being caught off guard by a surprise attack.

In an ambush, the person or thing hides until the right moment. Then, they jump out suddenly to startle you. This is common in games, but also happens in nature, like when a lion hides in tall grass and then pounces on its prey.

Ambushes are exciting because they make you feel surprised and maybe even a little scared. It’s like getting a big hug from behind when you’re not expecting it, the surprise is what makes it special!
