What is aging?

Aging is when your body slowly changes over time, just like how a toy gets worn out after playing all day.

Your body is like a toy that keeps getting used every day. When you're little, you run, jump, and laugh a lot. But as years go by, the parts of your body that help you move and think start to get tired, just like how a toy gets less bouncy after many games.

How Your Body Changes

Imagine your skin is like the cover of a notebook. When you're young, it’s smooth and strong. But over time, it gets more wrinkled, like when you crumple up paper and then try to flatten it again.

Your muscles are like the strings on a puppet. They help you move. As you grow older, they can get weaker, so moving around might feel slower or harder than before.

What Happens Inside

Inside your body, there are tiny helpers called cells, which work together to keep everything going. Over time, these cells don’t repair themselves as quickly, it's like when you have a scratch on your toy and don't fix it right away. Soon, the scratch gets bigger, and the toy doesn’t look or feel as good.

Aging is just one of many ways your body changes, and it’s all part of growing up!
