How clocks work
Clocks have two hands: the big hand moves faster, and the little hand moves slower. At 8:00 PM, the big hand is at 12, which means it’s just starting a new hour, and the little hand is at 8, telling us what hour it is.
Time of day
In the morning, we say "8:00 AM," like when you wake up. In the evening, we say "8:00 PM," like after dinner or before bedtime. It’s like having two different parts to your day, one for playing and one for resting.
So next time you see a clock at 8:00 PM, think of it as saying, “It's time to wind down!”
