What is 5 hours ahead?

Imagine you have a clock that shows time, and it’s currently 9 AM. If we move 5 hours ahead, it's like adding 5 more hours to the time on your clock, just like counting up while playing with your toys.

How Time Moves Forward

  • Think of your clock as a train track.
  • Right now, the train is at station 9 AM.
  • When you move 5 hours ahead, the train keeps moving forward and stops at the next station: 2 PM.
  • So, from 9 AM to 12 PM is 3 hours (like eating lunch), and then two more hours get us to 2 PM.

A Simple Way to Count

If you count like this:

  • 9 AM + 1 hour = 10 AM
  • 10 AM + 1 hour = 11 AM
  • 11 AM + 1 hour = 12 PM
  • 12 PM + 1 hour = 1 PM
  • 1 PM + 1 hour = 2 PM

That's how you get to 5 hours ahead, like counting your steps from one toy to the next!
