Imagine you're spinning around like a merry-go-round, that’s 360°!
How it works
When you turn all the way around until you face the same direction you started in, you’ve made one full circle. That whole circle is called 360 degrees, or 360° for short.
Why 360?
Think of a clock, it has 12 numbers. If each number was a slice of pizza, and you ate all 12 slices, that’s one full pizza. Now imagine instead of 12 slices, there are 360 tiny pieces. Each piece is called a degree, and together they make up the whole circle.
So when you spin around once, you’ve gone through 360 little parts, just like finishing your whole pizza! Imagine you're spinning around like a merry-go-round, that’s 360°!
