What is $ 1^\circ $?

1^\circ is one part of a full circle, like one slice of a pizza that has 360 slices total.

Imagine a Pizza with 360 Slices

If you have a whole pizza and cut it into 360 equal pieces, each piece would be 1^\circ. That means the whole pizza is 360 degrees, or 360^\circ.

A Clock Face Helps Too

Think of the face of a clock, it has 12 numbers, and between each number there are 5 little marks. If you imagine those marks as slices of pizza, then each mark is 1^\circ, and the whole clock face is 360 degrees.

So whether it's pizza or clocks, 1^\circ is just a tiny piece of a full circle, and there are 360 of them in total!
