What If We’re Living in a Computer Simulation?

What if we're all just characters in a game that someone else is playing?

Imagine you’re playing a video game on your tablet, you see trees, buildings, and other players moving around. You can run, jump, and talk to others, but you don’t know the whole story behind it. Now imagine that you are one of those characters in a super big, super detailed game, maybe even one that’s running on a computer so powerful, it feels like real life.

Think of it like a cartoon that can move and think! You might be drawing a person who can walk and talk. But to you, that person is real. Maybe the person in the drawing doesn’t know they’re just lines on paper, or maybe they do know, but they still play along.

Maybe it’s not even a human playing the game. It could be another computer, or something even bigger! Just like how you can have a video game inside a tablet, we might be in a game that's running on a super computer, and someone else is playing with us!
